My front side drivers window will still go down but not up on my 2000 isuzu rodeo

I tried switching the master switch thinking it would be the problem with no success. i then tried changing out the motor with no success either. on the new window regulator i could only get it to go down. all other windows work fine. what other problems could there be?

Mine too, and am procrastinating.
the guide system is jamming.
the motors cant run against a jam, they do not have infinite power.
like on Star Trek or TV where they explode jammed.
and the first kids neck they broke? they now have clutches that slip saving the kid. but make them fail more easy.
take it all apart, and take of the motor
test the window by hand. is it free and jam proof.
mines not,
some dimbulb put on that crapppy window tint film and below
the edge of seal at door top. its jamming up my window.
and not easy to remove that dang film, takes ammonia to do it
and off car. so i wait, i wait for cooler weather..... and gas mask.

SOURCE: How do I know if my drivers side power window is grounded properl

Hi there,
Try replacing the button that you push up and down. It could be bad under it and not making the connection. Maybe take the panel off and take the switch off, then clean the connecters under the button. Maybe that will do it. Also, you probably already ckeched this, but is the window off track? Well, good luck and let me know. Have a great night.~MWD

SOURCE: 1997 Isuzu Rodeo, 4.2L All windows stopped working!!!

all windows controlled from the drivers door...if you have someone in the family with BIG fists have them stand beside the drivers door panel and putting the **** against the door, SLAM their fist into the door panel right under the switches. Take a can of WD-40 and spray ALOT directly around the switches in the door using the little red hose WD40 gives you. GM's are known for carbon-tracking their door mechanisms...build up over the years...sometime banging the door knocks the buildup loose allowing the circuit to work.

Hi.

You will need to take aprt the door panel and access to motor switch and regulator.

Here a website illustrating the whole procedure.

Windows only work from driver side, which wires go to the window lock switch??

I think what you'll find is the master key pad or drivers pad is defective. If you can open and close all windows from the master switch and no other doors are lit up, try pushing down into the switch on the driver side master for the passenger side window, If you can get the lights to light up try and use the other window and see if you can activate them from the other switches. I priced the masters pad from the dealer it was 186$ so i just slam the driver side switches and push down and i get it until i hit a bump that is. Good luck,

the master switch is bad sad to say....they suffer greatly from manufacture defects....you can try to exchange it or find a new one
i went through 3 new ones to get a good one....i know it is expensive but the dealer may be your best bet, you can try it in the parking lot and the parts guy can watch you install it....then they have no choice but to honor the new part warranty if the new one is defective also....thanks
