"Try checking your battery and or starter. If not them you might have another electrical problem. , have the gas cap tested or just replace it, then disconnect the battery for 5 minutes to reset the code, then drive it for a few miles and see if problem comes back, if it does a trip to the dealer is in order, as this may be covered by your emission warranty which is good for 70,000 miles. , if you are talking about the factory unit(transponder in key)you CANNOT bypass (its in the ecm) if its an aftermarket/dealer fit unit,you may want to take the whole unit out,but be warned some do not come out without totally messing up the car.
