I put a new throttle position sensor on it and two cam sensors and new spark plugs. Battery keeps dying too. I can't figure out why it won't start up

You don't think it could be something electrical? It didn't just go in failsafe mode once it done it a few times. It just rapidly started to do it more and more. Maybe 5 times. The lat time it was running I crank it up for work that morning and it did have a little rough idle, not much just enough u could tell it wasn't normal. I maybe got 3 miles and it hit engine failsafe mode but this time the service engine light was flashing or blinking and I stomped it and it didn't have hardly any power. My rpms slowly went up and when it got close o 4000 rpms I let off the gas and it died. Their wasn't any smoking or loud knocks or anything. Just died. I've had ppl look at it and it just spins over and sounds to good for anything internal to be Wong but that doesn't mean anything. What do u think?

It needs 3 things fuel air and fire but has to be in right order I'd check timing and compression

SOURCE: engine failsafe mode

does the engine completely shut off? It sounds like the electronic throttlebody is causing the problem.

SOURCE: Vehicle dies while driving down the road.

could it be the A/C pump kicking in. might be boging down the motor or electrical circuit, not letting the injectors get enough power. This could happen if the bearings are going bad in th A/C pump or there is a short in it. Just an idea. sounds like you have done the main components.

SOURCE: truck cuts off while driving down the road.

Replace the TFI module. Ford back in 1986 thur 1993 had problems like the one you wrote about. TFI module gets hot and shuts car or truck off then when it cools sometmies starts and sometimes not.

SOURCE: 2005 lincoln ls going into etc failsafe mode

I had to replace 4 different coils on my '02 LS before it finally stopped misfiring. After one code and coil replaced it would go to the next one. I had to replace them in this order, 2,3,7,8

When # 7 was misfiring it wouldn't even pull a code all of the time, the check engine light would come on one day then go off the next, really strange.

You should have it scanned it maybe 1 of the sensors that controls the timing, Actually their are many sensors that control the performance of all vehicles

2001 ford f150 theft light activated when driving down the road engine cranks but won't start now and I thinking a sensor went out I know it is not the keys please help with answers

If a problem with security system, check that first, otherwise we are just spinning our wheels. Some aftermarket scanners that shows live engine data may say enabled or not for your security system. To communicate with your security system, you may need a manufacturer specific scanner.
Can you check applicable trouble codes? To check codes, yourself, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader.
You can check the basics. If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, check fuel injector pulse.

My ford explorer 2005 has a engine failsafe mode

Check engine light on , failsafe mode . The first thing to do would be to hook up a scan tool an check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . Was the vehicle overheating ? Failsafe mode will shut the vehicle off to save the engine if it is over heating . Do you know if the vehicle has electronic throttle control ? Was their a yellow wrench symbol lit on the instrument cluster as well ?

Solution for the message "engine fail safe mode" in explorer 2005

I have hearing a lot of this lately with Fords. Most of the time this dash board light comes on due to problems with the Throttle Body (TB)not just your coolant,etc.. If it is sticking, dirty, causing misfires, etc. then this can cause an engine fail safe mode. You might first try putting in some injector cleaner and a higher grade of gas. Many people I know who have had this problem have had to have their TB cleaned and/or replaced. This is something Ford dealerships now about, but hasn't been made a recall or anything. There are service bulletins though.Mainly keeping cleaner in your gas and performing ritual tune-ups/oil changes may be the only thing you can do.Hope this helps

I HAVE A 2005 DODGE CARAVAN I WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND IT JUST STALLED. THE FUEL PUMP COMES ON BUT THE ENGINE DOESNT START..

If you have good fuel pressure. Check for spark at any plug while cranking, If no spark, also place a screw driver on an injector and listen to it while someone cranks it over. If you have NO spark and NO injector click - crank sensor needs to be replaced. 95%
other 5% hmmm wiring problem on / near crank or cam sensors, theft system active, dead pcm.......

I have a 05 F150 and the engine shutdown or stop running while driving down the road

Check the Fuel Inertia switch located on the inside passenger compartment firewall.
Press the reset and all should be well. The same thing happened to me in my Ranger. Good luck!

I was driving down the road in my 05 F150 when the engine just shutdown and would not start

Need to find out if it has spark and fuel. If no spark could be a crankshaft position sensor or cam sensor. If no fuel could be fuel pump, relay or other problem. It would be helpful if you could get the codes downloaded from the vehicle's computer.
