You must mean your AC stopped blowing cold air.
This would not cause any dash lights to indicate a problem.
As your car can continue operating indefinitely with out the AC working. It only effects your comfort.

So it's most likely time to take your car to a good auto repair shop most have the tools to fix AC.

I assume you are referring to the brake light on the dash.....yes, this most certainly be the issue, especialy if th fluid had not been checked and/or topped up.........note : if you are going to be driving the car above 'normal', you definetly should be checking all fluid levels........

If the button is blinking, this means the clutch is either worn out, or the clutch is not engaging because of an electrical problem. Check the electrical connection going to the AC, does it look alright? Is there any fluid inside the connector? I would replace the AC compressor if the clutch persists to not engage.
