It is not hard just time consuming first u have to remove in side panel. Then the barrier reach inside door and disconnect lock rod. After that done disconnect second rod then remove the two bolts holding handle to door. Handle is removed change key lock over if needed. Installed is reverse or removed

Your going to have to remove the inside door panel to get to the two screws that hold the door handle in place. Just make sure your windows are up so the window is not in the way to get to the two screws to un bolt the out side door handle. You can buy the replacement door handle from Auto Zone and buy extra door clips, since they always break. Auto Zone will have the step by step instructions to get the job done and it should take just under an hour, some band aids will be handy too. there is a pin in the door handle might have broke off there are two 10 mm nuts that will release the handle but you have to take the door panels off and remove it any local junk yard should have it or can order it for you

the inside door panel will have to come off to get at the door handle. if you've never done this you should have someone that has do it, because they can be tricky.good luck

I had the same problem. Buy the handle from the dealer and I can tell you how to replace it.

Take it to the buick dealer. As the daughter of a mechanic, it was a call I didn't want to make! The dealer installed two handles for me and painted them to match for under $100.00. Well worth the trip.
