Many public libraries have manuals or subscribe to on line services such as Alldata.

Remove the throttle body.

Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector.

Remove the MAP sensor (1) from the intake manifold (2).

Auto zone website in parts locator should show you or buy a haynes manual for your type vehicle.

The auto part stores can tell you as they have a parts locator. More than likely the map sensor is not the problem. Often the problem is a failing ignition control module/amplifier or the failing crankshaft position sensor.

The MAP sensor on a 2000 Hyundai Elantra will be located directly on top of the intake manifold, 3-4 inches to the left of the throttle body (facing the engine), and attached by two 10mm bolts. However, some 2000 models may not have a MAP sensor, since it was added midway through the production year to prep for the updated 2001 elantra.

Your corolla doesn't use a MAF sensor, it uses a MAP sensor

The map sensor is located on the Intake Manifold right by the throttle body. That could easily be causing the issue you're stating.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Locate the MAP sensor and remove the retaining screws
3. Detach the electrical connector.

1. Remove the vacuum hose and lift the MAP sensor from the engine.
2. Installation is reverse of the removal procedure.

Depending which O2 sensor it is, it will be located after the exhaust manifold before or after the Catalytic Converter.

may have vacume leak .unpluging map sensor will set a code light.
