No ---fuses just pass power in any direction
You can check for a blown fuse as the reversed power supply may have shorted something out
it could be a fried ECM or a failed diode from the wrong power direction flow
lights will work with current flow in either direction
starter solenoids need a direction to move in on starting so it will not work with the wrong direction of power
radio could be blown internally

SOURCE: Electrical Problem for a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer

Hey everyone with this problem! Theres a fuse under the hood in the front of the fuse box. Its black and its not in the bow itself but under the cover though! two nuts hold it in place where your cable line comes in from the battery. The fuse costs $15.00 avg. most anyplace! Easy to change and everything will work inside your vehicle! Without it the vehicle will start and run but you will have no functions on the interior, or dash!

SOURCE: radio and all dome lights are not working.

interior fuse should be the culprit. Look for the Radio fuse inside (normally 10A red) sometimes labeled CABIN on the fuse layout

SOURCE: My dash lights don't work.

this got easy after a while 2 ways, i had friends who would not take the time to spend 8dollars to buy a harness connector for a new cd player and would splice everything together like takeing the red and yellow wires and connecting them all together as one. this drains ur battery unless ur cd player can completly power down by the power button not all do... but keep this in mind on GM cars the 2 wires of the same wires like purple the one with a black stripe is ground they go together stripe on stripe also there is 2 extra wires one is ORANGE and BROWN u dont need these dont even mess with them even if u have a connector block them off THESE TWO COLORS IS FOR FACTORY STEREO IF SO THESE WIRES CAN AND WILL MAKE IT SO U DONT HAVE DASH LIGHTS so always buy a connector ond dont mess with these wires block them off and dont ground them out.

Can I have my QX56 battery replaced at Autozone, or is there a code that will have to be entered by a dealer?

This is what I found listed that needs to be checked after battery replacement. Not an autozone job for sure.

You have burned out the vehicle's controls modules, call your insurance company, they should cover this type of unfortunate mistake.

Heard loud pop when trying to start, wouldn't start and lost all lights and radio....replaced battery this afternoon, still got nothing. No lights,no radio not turning over at all. Questioning fuse...

Sounds like a main fuse has blown. Might be an inline type, a pin type or a fuse link. Usually near the positive post on the battery or under hood
fuse box.

I have a 2004 qx56 the batterry was bad bought a knew one the car still goes dead after uts been shut off for a while. The altonator seem good and I don't see that I am leaving anything on. What could this...

Have you added a new stereo or fog lights? These things can drain your battery. A new remote starter or alarm system can also do this. Its called a parasitic drain as it slowly drains the battery. A shot in the wiring also can do this.

QX56 WONT START

there is two "boxes" right behind the battery on the pass. side fender well. take a small hammer or rubber mallot and "tap" the box farthest into the cowling. try starting the vehicle immediatly after. (be gentle as to not break the plastic box, but don't be affraid to give it a smack) lightly tap the CAN mounted directly on the fender behind these plastic boxes as well, if it starts replace CAN communication area network its a fancy name for another computer

It sounds as if you are having a battery problem. You need to have the battery checked at an Infinity Dealer. The battery should have warranty on it (pro rated) with such a new vehicle. Hope this helps.
