SOURCE: WHERE CAN I BUY A NEW CAR KEY FOR AN OLDSMOBILE INTRIGUE 99

You can call any GM dealer, but don't try to find an Oldsmobile dealer, GM phased out that division in 2004.

SOURCE: how do i install a 1998 oldsmobile intrigue water pump?

you need to go buy a Chilton. There is a litle more to it than telling you a couple of things on a web page. Also if your car has a 4 cylinder and you are replacing the water pump, something they don't tell you is you have to replace the timming belt also. If you don't you will be replacing them both again in a couple of months.

SOURCE: 2002 OLDSMOBILE INTRIGUE GX engine light on

There are many emission sensors in the car that will make the engine light come ON. Not to mention the big list of trouble codes for the engine light.

Best way to find out what's going on engine light is to have an auto-parts store hook up a engine code reader and tell you what the code means and the problem. Most auto-part store will do this for free.

Can it adjust valves in a 99 oldsmobile intrigue 3.5

In a word, no.
Your car has "hydraulic" lifters, and are not adjustable.
If you have a lifter that is "clattering" which would make it sound as though it needed adjusting, likely the problem is a hydraulic lifter, or the camshaft, or that a connecting part that has failed.
That part, whichever it is, needs replacement.
It is probably that the failed part, when matched with a new one, is easy to see it has worn down or worn out.
Some Oldsmobiles also had a problem with "noisy" lifters as a result of sludge in the engine from insufficient oil changes.
If this is your problem, get an additive for the motor oil that will "wash" the inside of the motor.
That will also require several oil changes and oil filters in the "cleaning:" process.
God bless your efforts.

I'm trying to remove the crankshaft pully off of a 2000 Oldsmobile intrigue. I was able to remove the center bolt bolt the the pully doesn't have any holes to use a puller with how can I take it...

Attach the arms of the crankshaft pulley removal tool over the pulley and tighten the tool to the pulley using the tool's supplied bolts. Continue to tighten the tool using the bolts until the crankshaft pulley is pulled off the crankshaft. auto zone rents out tools for the job.

Need help on nputing alt on intrigue

  • 1.Disconnect the battery by turning the positive terminal bolt in a counterclockwise direction with a 10mm socket wrench. Disconnect the terminal nut on the alternator by turning it counterclockwise with an open-ended wrench. Store the terminals away from the battery.

  • 2

Disconnect the Intrigue's serpentine fan belt by pressing on the tension pulley arm firmly then working the belt out from underneath the idle pulley. Release the tension pulley arm so the belt will have enough slack to be removed from the alternator pulley wheel.

  • 3

Remove the mount bolts by turning the nuts counterclockwise, holding the bolt head with a socket wrench. Slide the bolts out of the mount arms. Replace the alternator with a new unit by positioning it into the mount arms and sliding the bolts through the mount holes. Tighten all nuts securely.

  • 4

Replace the drive belt by wrapping the belt around the alternator pulley wheel then pressing on the tension arm to slide the belt back underneath the idle pulley. Release the arm and the belt will tighten to an automatic adjustment.

  • 5

Reconnect the alternator's wiring harness connection by placing the terminal over the connection bolt and securing the nut clockwise with a small wrench. Reconnect the battery by turning the terminal bolt clockwise with a 10 mm socket.

Diagram for removing a tensioner from 99 Olds Intrigue 3.8

Either in the center of the tension pulley or on the arm that the tension pulley is bolted to there is a square hole that is the size of the square on a 1/2" ratchet. Take a 1/2" ratchet and stick it in that hole and I think most of them you put it in the tighten position and pull on the ratchet. the tension will release and you can remove the belt.
