Carburetor version. Need vacuum system diagram.

You should work with Larry on your other post by replying to him. He normally has access to diagrams via a subscription site. The more information you give Larry, the better he is.

You will require service manual for car, or the repair manual. Usually available at auto parts stores. Diagrams can be found on the web user browser search engine and " 1996 Mazda 323 Engine Fuel system diagram"

We do not have this info. Please contact your local public library they may have the manuals that contain the diagrams.

The vacuum signal for the advance needs to come from a ported vacuum source on the carburetor, and not from manifold vacuum. Ported vacuum means little or no vacuum at idle, because the throttle plates at idle shut off the ported vacuum hole. Look for a vacuum tube coming from near the base of the carburetor.
I have no resource to find a diagram. You may need to check a repair manual that your local library might have. Or purchase a Haynes or Chilton manual for around $25. Or join a forum for older Chevy/GMC trucks; somebody there could help you, I'm sure. Good luck.

If you go to AutoZone.com and register (free) you can nagivate your way to the "repair info" section. Once there look at the list in the center of the page and click on "emission controls:, after that look on the left side of the page for "VACUUM DIAGRAMS". the proper vacuum diagram should be there for your truck.
