SOURCE: Oldsmobile Regency 1996. Engine trouble.Engine will not start.

If you can find the starter, tap on it with a hammer, not too soft but not too hard.Try it several times. This will usually work if the starter is going.REALLY!If it is too difficult to find or get to,call a shop and ask them.If they want you to bring it in without answering, hang up and call someone else.Someone will give you a free opinion.

Is there an inline fuse for the tail lights on 1996 Ranger? There is no fuse in the box.

Tail lights - park / brake - turn ? The park lamps get B+ voltage from the head lamp switch , unless your vehicle has anti- theft system .Then get B+ voltage from parks lamps relay .

1996 nissan maxima has no dash lights and no tail lights all fuses are good

The only thing that both circuits use is the headlight switch.
I would start there checking for power on those two circuits.
The tail lights are actually parking lights so the front and back are on the same circuit.

I have a 1996 Volkswagon Cabrio. I was notified that the back right tail light is burnt out. Can you assist? I would like to try to fix it myself.

If this is helpful, please vote for my answer:
1 Open the trunk and pull up the carpet in the trunk. 2 Remove the screw bolts that hold the trim piece to the back of both of the tail light housings. 3 Remove the trim backings to expose the tail lights. 4 Remove the electrical plug running to the bulb's ballast. Squeeze the top of the connector's release tab and remove the plug. 5 Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the housing. 6 Remove the screw bolts on the inside of the trunk that hold the tail light housing to the body. 7 Pull the tail light housing off. 8 Replace bulb with same

How to replace tail light 1996 Suburban

Hello,
I changed the tail lights of my wife's suburban which is the same as yours some few weeks ago,here is how i did it myself,although i'm a mechanic but its not technical;

STEP1. Two screws inside the tail gate jam.
STEP 2. Pry with fingers or something that won't scratch the paint the tail light out (Forward). try not to break anything

STEP 3. Good thing is the bulbs are interchangeable an they have multiple filaments in them. I was able to swap mine around for some bulbs with unused filaments.

STEP 4 Check all lights after replacement of course. Don't want to make your brake lights work and then your turn signal not work.
Problem solved.

Thanks for using fixya, have a nice day.

Where is tail light fuse in 1996 chevrolet silverado pickup

Left of the steering wheel & under the dash is the fuse panel for this. No.9 is for the tail lights, but also for many other lights such as licence lamp/parking lamp/side marker/tail gate/etc...
There is also an under the hood fuse/relay panel, but it does not have the tail light fuse in it.

Brake lights dont work but the other tail lights do

Check the brake light switch under the dash attached to the brake peadal arm. It is wher the break booster push rod attaches. Sometimes that switch works loose.

1996 Ford Ranger No Tail lights. I have brake lights, but no Tail. I changed the bulbs, checked the fuses, nothing.

If you happen to have a trailer wiring adapter plugged into the harness, remove it first and see if they start working. I've more than one of those mess up the rear lights. If you have the three-bulb tail lights, use a test light to see if there is power to the tail bulb sockets. If there isn't, replace that fuse just to be sure, then trace back the harness to find the break in the wiring.
