Running for 3-5 seconds and then dying is a good indication that the security system is failed

I bought a Vats bypass and still have the same problem I did notice that the windshield is leaking onto the ECM I think water contamintation may be the whole problem.

This may be related to the antitheft system The system is known for turning off the starter and/or injectors when it fails. Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY? This is a common problem worth looking into especially after a motor has been changed. The bypass they did may be failing. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/

Car wont start untill i press on the gas?

Check your cam and crank position sensors. Check the fuel pressure regulator and then the Fuel pump itself. This sounds stupid, but go check the gas cap too and make sure it is on tight. Sometimes it's the little things..haha. The two sensors tell where the crank and cam are in relation to each other and TDC of Piston 1. If one of the sensors is out of whack...the whole timing process will be thrown off. Most of the time if the cam sensor is bad, the car won't start, if the crank, it will start but run like ****. They don't cost much usually and your car is old enough that they should be replaced anyway. The MAF sensor would just cause the car to run rough most of the time if it were faulty or dirty. But being how generalized those codes are, it's never fun to figure out. Hope this helps you :)

Please make no guesses, just run a complete scan on the car, because if u want to keep taking off parts n replacing them u might end up spending more than you should. From what u said it could be an ignition problem, fuel related, crank sensor, cam sensor,.... Please run a complete scan on the car.

Replaced ignition module now it won't run at all

After changing the ignition module, you may have broken the communication between all the components in the anti theft security system. This is common on GM antitheft systems. Check out this link for how it works and solutions to security problems. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

In the Nissan Quest, 1993-02, the cam sensor is in the distributor and replacing the distributor fixes it. Usually the engine runs when cold, then fails when it is hot. Not usre where it is on the 2007 Quest.

Rich Porter sells reman distributors on ebay for $200.

We talk about it on our website for Villager Quest owners.
