That is a BRAKE SYSTEM warning, trying to tell you that there is a HAZARDOUS BRAKE FAILURE CONDITION that needs your attention.
Please have your brakes serviced before driving any further, as usually the light and "dinger noise" means that your brake system has lost hydraulic pressure to one or more calipers.
Does it ding with the seat belt latched ? if so you probably need a
Multifunction Alarm Module or have a shorted wire . Was the vehicle in an accident ?
dinger is obviously your door open warning, problem 1 solved, dash and tail lights are often on the same circuit in many cars, this will need a new fuse, if this failed when replaced then you have a short, this normally happens in your tail lights
hi what vehicle are you referring too? If your ignition lights go on alarm activates it can be your starter motor that is fualty, break in wiring leading to starter or starter relay fualty,
I also have experienced this problem with my Isuzu D-Max pickup. Did the problem occur when you were having a long drive? Coz it happened to me when i was already driving for 1 hour at a regular fast speed. After that, the problem stilled continued, especially when i reach 100km per hour.
What I did to fix the problem was i had the pickup's alarms calibrated by an Isuzu authentic service center. Coz only Isuzu service centers can calibrate the alarms and i think they're the only ones who can diagnose the car's problem if the check engine alarm turns on.
After that, we found out that there was no problem with the engine. Just the "check engine" alarm's calibration.
you may have a bad oil sending unit the oil light works off of oil pressure i would start by changing the oil sending unit and if the light still comes on then you have bigger problems. get a mechanical oil pressure gauge and hook up and check the oil pressure after the engine has warmed up to operating temp you should have at around 30 psi but can survive with 10psi but might be time for a rebuild. if no oil pressure then you might have a broken shaft between the oil pump and the distrubuter. if the engine is running and not making any out of the normal ticking, knocking sounds probably just the sending unit though, they are about 25 dollars and i believe its right above the oil filter on the 6 cylinder.
