Supposedly the owners manual (perhaps you have it) tells you how to change the speedometer.. it involves turning the car off and holding a button on the dash in and turning the ignition on and continue holding the button for > 5 seconds

no.....only the head unit is fused which would mean no sound at all if the fuse was blown

When you changed the battery the computer must re-learn the setting again. If it continues have a OBD II reader plugged in and check for codes.

there should be a menu button some where on the dash that will let you select it also it might have the gauge with both mph and km on it your owners manul should tell you how to change it
