Change your fuel filter would be a good place to start. It's cheap and it's a maintenance item that should be done periodically anyhow. After 8 years, it won't hurt.
When's the last time you tuned up your envoy? A full time up plugs, wires, cap, rotor if it has one, air and fuel filters...is your check engine light on? perhaps a worn sensor. coil/coils, fuel
pump....start witj the cheapest and go from there. Also try running 91 octane. Maybe your emergency break isn't disengaed entirely (if you use it.)
