have a pressure test done on the coolant system . The leak at the back of the motor will be from a rusted welsh plug and if it is close to the fire wall will require the motor to be pulled for repairs because of the lack of room
have a pressure test done on the coolant system and look for a rusted /leaking welsh plug around the motor block and head.. If it is the block and is next to the fire wall then be prepared to pull the motor to have it fixed.
probably from a rusted welsh plug in the back of the block or from the head. If it is near the fire wall then be prepared to pull the motor as there is no room there to do the job.
Freeze plugs in each head as well as in the block will leak over time. Don't just replace one...replace them all or you will keep having leaks as each freeze plug rusts through enough to leak.
is it leaking on the side of the motor where all the pulley's are or is iton the back side of motor if it is where the pulley's are it sounds like the water pump is leaking or is bad if it is on the back side of the motor it sounds like one of the freeze plugs is leaking or busted
Leaking water on teh drivers side indicates a cracked block or cracked head in most cases. Unless you have a water injected motor, I don't remember Ford using one, there are no water ports on that side of the motor. It could be the water pump leaking and being pushed back when the vehicle is running so check for leaks around the water pump. You need to check the heads, side of the engine block and the freeze plugs to make sure there are no cracks or leaks around the head gasket seal.
yes there are freeze plugs are you sure your hose clamps are tight,is this leak the reason you changed water pump, you need to have this truck on a hoist so you can find the origin of the leak
check to make sure the thermostat housing isn't leaking. as this is a common problem on rebuilt motors. the only other place i can think of is to check the freeze plugs, not usually the case. also check water pump.
