The evaporative emission system (EVAP) is that system that controls the petrol fumes and evaporation of the fuel from the tank to the injectors
It has a purge valve, charcoal canister fuel cap and various other parts like hoses
a small leak can be the purge valve , cracked or loose fuel lines from the filler cap to the pump,loose filler cap
I suggest that you take it to an accredited service centre to have it checked out as from you what and where questions it will be difficult to determine exactly what to look for or where to look

Tip

Small coolant leak

This is a little easy diy'er for the everyday joe.If you have noticed a small coolant leak coming from your motor area, not a pouring leak but more of a drip,and you don't feel like paying a repair bill of $400, then go to your local neighborhood parts store and purchase a bottle of radiator/coolant stop leak.The best brand I've found is called Bar's Leak, it actually seals up most small coolant leaks within the day.All you do is add this to the coolant in the radiator.I hope this tip helps!!!

Why is there oil leaking on my 2001 kia sportage?

One of your many engine gaskets has failed and started leaking. If it is leaking more than a very small amount, you"ll have to replace the gasket. Very small leaks can sometimes be cured with some aftermarket stop-leak stuff. Make sure it's for an oil leak.

My check engine light came on and it is a p0442 EVAP SYS, small leak

Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)
This indicates a fuel vapor leak in the EVAP control system. It means a very small leak has been detected. In fact, the leak can be from a hole as small as 0.04" in diameter. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine.

Causes: A code P0442 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
* A loose or improperly affixed gas cap
* A non-conforming gas cap (i.e. not factory/original brand)
* A small leak/hole in a fuel vapor hose/tube
* Other small leak in EVAP system
* Faulty vent o-ring seal

Possible Solutions: With a P0442, the most common repair is to:
* Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the codes, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back.
* Otherwise, replace the gas cap, or
* Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses

CHECK ENGINE SCANNER READS PO442

small leak detected needs to have a smoke machine hooked up. The leak is very small and undetectable to the eye or ear. Before you spend the money for the test, (and the repair is usually cheap) make sure your gas cap is tight and that the seal has no breaks. The most comon cause of "small leak detected" is the gas cap.
