Is seems that the clock in the 2003-2008 Matrix and Carola is causing air bag problems for lots of people. If enough people report it, maybe they will issue a recall. It's easy to file a complaint online with NHTSA. Here's a link the the NHTSA complaint center: https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/index.xhtml
Intermittent activity is a sign that the clock is dying. This is a very common issue with Pathfinder clocks, unfortunately. They were manufactured pretty poorly. If you want to have it repaired with a lifetime guarantee, please check out www.autoclockrepair.com. All the info is there on how to remove the clock. Drop me a note if you have any questions, thanks!
the most common reason for this is because in side your radio there is tiny little light bulbs behind the main display that have blown..to repair this you need to remove the radio and replace the bulbs .hope this helps!
That is a common problem, the clock is going bad internally. I offer a solution, check out www.autoclockrepair.com I have the removal instructions there as well.
I offer a repair service for the clock itself; far cheaper than buying a new clock. Check it out at www.autoclockrepair.com I'll look into how to remove the clock itself and post if I find the solution.
The fuse in postion 32 (15 Amp) in the box under the dash by the steering wheel also powers your cigarette lighter and radio also powers the clock. If only the clock is dead then it is not a fuse issue. This is a very common problem with the 96-05 Corolla clocks. The clocks are very prone to internal failure. I offer a reasonable repair service with a lifetime guarantee, check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com There is a bunch of useful info there. Drop me an email if you have questions, thanks!
