I have a 87 Chevy silverado when I turn the key over it clicks then smoke comes from under the dash on the passenger side is it a problem with starter

No....You have something else going on here and I don't know where to start exactly. You will have to have someone else observe where the smoke is coming from but it should low voltage. I would have a pro look at this one.

1999 chevy lumina parking lights flashing and strange clicking noise coming from the dash near the steering column even when the car is turned off and the key is removed from the ignition. How do I stop...

Sounds like you turned on your emergency flashers somehow without knowing it. The button should be on your steering column. Otherwise, find the flasher control under the dash by following the clicking noise and unplug it. Then go buy a new flasher control.

89' Blazer S10: None of the gauges on my dash work

Smoke isn't a good thing. When you shut the engine off the engine actually heats up some prior to cooling down because the coolant isn't running through the engine any longer. When you have electric fans, that's why they stay on for a few minutes after the car has shut off. Is the smoke coming from the fuse panel on the fender well or could it be your valve cover gaskets leaking onto the exhaust manifolds?

My 1990 Cadillac Deville wont start or engage starter

Sounds like you blew fuse. Fix fuse and borrow a car starting switch they use at car repair shops. As long as you can turn tumbler to on ,you can start using the starting switch from repair shop..There should be a way to run a start button to start car and your off/on key should be OK

How can i bypass

You've got a tough one here...can you crawl under the dash of your Buick? Do you know how to use a multimeter?
If you answered "yes" to BOTH these questions you're 75% of the way there!
#1. remove the lower "shelf" part of the dash directly under the steering wheel. Locate the TWO Orange wires coming from the steering column. Using a multimeter, place the pos/neg probes on either side of the tiny metal chip on your ignition key...read the value. go to Radio shack and buy that value of resistor and pick up wire "crimp" connectors for 12-14ga wiring. Cut the Orange wires and bare 1/2" of each end. Crimp the resistor between Orange wires using the crimp connectors.
Good Luck

Car won't start!!! & ABS Light on

Sounds like carbon build up on the contacts inside the electrical ignition switch which is not the key cylinder. Its located on the lower steering coluum if coluum shift or if you have a floor shift it will be inside the console

I need to replave the key switch in a 1991 cavalier

First disconnect your negative battery cable. Then remove the plastic cover below your steering colum, and the covers that cover your headlight swith, turnsignal switch, ignition, ect. Remove the bolts that hold the steering colum to the dash, and allow it to lay on the drivers seat. Place a towel under the colum (to catch metal shavings), and drill out the two screws that hold the ignition in place.
Install your new ignition in reverse.
