I have a 2002 Chevy trailblazer and after I shut the engine off after running for awhile, it drips gas for about 5 minutes then stops. It seems that my situation is very different from other people's.

SOURCE: 2002 Chevy Trailblazer Engine Codes

This is actually an easy swap out. Remove the electrical connection, remove the retaining bolt and pull out old one. I believe the sensor is located in the front passenger side of the engine on this particular model.

This one is easy. The clutch fan is not disengaging. Mine does the same thing after it has idled a while but then will release (wind noise stops) after getting up to speed.

Do you know if the plugs were changed, a bad or broken plug will also cause rough idle and slow acceleration?

SOURCE: 2002 Chevy Trailblazer running rough when idling,

clogged injectors I bet with the dirty fuel you claimed you had in the tank. Cleaners will not remove all contaminates in injectors for they tend to get seized inside of them

looks like a sensor has gone or been misread if you stop the engine for awhile like for 20 min and then start up and it runs ok, would think cam sensor has overheated, you will still be able to get home as its in limp mode just means there is no advanced timing this gets turned off. so if it does stay on you will be fine to get home.

Engine codes 1415 and 1345 on a 2002 4.2 chevy trailblazer ls

1415 secondary air injection system bank 1
1345 crankshaft position-camshaft position correlation
You have something wrong with either your camshaft or crankshaft sensors. That's why car won't run

My 2002 chevy trailblazer wont stay started without the gas pedal pressed when released the car shuts off

Spray some carburetor cleaner directly into the throttle body (behind the tube from the air filter.) Tap the gas several times and repeat after a few minutes, making sure to run it long enough to clear excess cleaner from the engine.

the running issue seems to be the convertor clogging up. need to have backpressure test done to see for sure. the electrical issue sounds like the ignition switch or the orange ,pink,or yellow wire going to the switch. both are common problems with the trailblazer.NOTE if the vehicle has less than 80000 miles the convertor will still be under factory warranty (EPA guidelines)

Does it sound like an airplane or a big rig when you give it gas? If I'm reading you right here, sounds like your fan clutch is stuck engaged. Need to replace the fan clutch, this is a common problem for TB's.

Sounds like the engine is not firing on all cylinders. Check the spark polugs and cables.

Whenever I drive my 2002 Chevrolet trailblazer

does it shut off then after 5 minutes while cooling down will it start up again then run a few miles then shut off again. if so it is your crank sensor. if your vehicle shuts off while driving and you give it some gas and it boggs out it could be your fuel pump or filter.

test the fuel pressure first. use a guage and watch it till engine dies. also the guage has a bleed off hose, run a small amount of gas into a cup and check for water
