2011 Avenger. Why do the instrument lights flicker while it is running?

the dealer should be able to get these. you may have to remove the intake manifold or see what you have to remove in order to do the job. its not something an amateur should try to do. They usually leak because of poor maint, and degraded coolant. If its leaking, more cooling problems are likely on the way.

Check the dimmer switch for the cluster lighting,it may be the problem.

There is a lot of reasons that can cause this. Let's start with the obvious that we know that their is not soppose to have power to the light when car off and key out of ignition. Now the only reason I can think of for the light to stay on after the ignition is out is that something in the ignition switch is not switching power off. Is anything else staying on or acting up? Because it may sound like it has nothing to do with it but sometimes it is.

Factory struts and spring seats (rear) should be getting a little soupy by this time, so you\'ll have a little "float" in the ride going over uneven pavement. I just pulled mine out, turned them upside down and execised the rod up and down to expel the air, and they\'re back to as-new...and old, old shock absorber trick. Save for oil and filter and air filter changes, there\'s not much to do maintenance-wise on these cars, and they\'re quite reliable. Maintenance headache: checking battery electrolyte on these...the battery\'s in the subframe rail in front of the left front wheel...not a big job, just a pain. I check mine twice a year.
