SOURCE: 2000 kia sportage ex, 4 cyl.

Yes there is a sensor that controls Fuel/air ratio. It's called a MAF (mass air flow sensor)
But I think you should have the EGR (Exhaust gas recirculation)valve checked
and The TPS (throttle position sensor)maybe dirty.

Although may things can cause this issue,I would look at the items above first.

SOURCE: the Abs light came on and will not go out after i

This is just a consequential event. the ABS sensor module was probably going out and decide the trigger the alarm at the same time you initiated the hard brake during travel. replacing or resetting this sensor module Will fix this issue. the light will go off as well.

Please rate and god bless.

SOURCE: the easiest way to pull the heater core from a kia sportage-2000

There is no real easy way to do it....not like the older cars..

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

CAUTION After disconnecting the negative battery cable, wait for at least 10 minutes for the air bag module to deplete its stored energy.

    1. Remove the driver’s side air bag and steering wheel by performing the following procedure:
    2. Position the front wheels in the straight-ahead position.
  2. Remove the 4 steering wheel-to-air bag module bolts.
  3. Carefully, lift the air bag module and disconnect the electrical connector.

CAUTION Place the air bag module in a safe location with the front facing upward.

  4. Remove the steering wheel-to-steering column nut.

NOTE If may be necessary to mark the steering wheel to steering column alignment.

  5. Using a steering wheel puller, press the steering wheel from the steering column.
  6. Drain the cooling system into a clean container for reuse.
  7. Discharge and recover the air conditioning system refrigerant.
    1. Remove the instrument panel by performing the following procedure:
    2. Remove both the rear and front consoles.
    3. Remove the knee bolster assembly.
    4. Remove the “T” bar section.
    5. Remove the relay bracket.

  8. Disconnect the fresh air control cable from the blower/evaporator housing inlet duct.
  9. Disconnect the 5 connectors from the bottom of the blower/evaporator housing.
  10. Move the carpeting from the bulkhead to gain access to the hole cover plate.

SOURCE: 2000 kia sportage radio unlock code

Vehcile stereo codes are different for every radio to deter theft. The codes are usually around 4 numbers. There are a couple ways to find out what your code is. First, check your owners manual, someone at some point may have written it down in there. Also, there may be a card somewhere in you paperwork that has the code. If you don't find the code, the easiest way to find out what it is, go to you local kia dealerships service department, if you give them you VIN number they will be able to give you the code (most of the time free of charge). My last suggestion, pull the radio out, sometimes it will be written on the unit.

There cost is cheaper and can help you reprogram the code in your KIA. befor you go through all that, check for the code in the glove box, there might be a sticker in there or in your back pages to your manuel.
Good luck and hope this helps yougte your radio wokring again, keep me posted oh and try 0000 first.
