Question about 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse

I have a 2007 Mitsubishi eclipse,someone siphoned all my gas out So I went and put in 5 gallons. My car still won't start. Is there a restart switch? Or something I can do (inexpensive)

Might have burned out your fuel pump, its inside the tank and needs the fuel to be around it to keep it cool. Not widely known but running below a 1/4 tank can shorten the lifespan of the pump that and not changing the filter.

Try putting it neutral, if it starts, the neutral safety switch is suspect. If it won't start go back to park, hold the key in the "start" position and slowly move thru the gears, if it clicks at any point (even between positions) go back to that spot. Again the neutral switch. I always do this before I break out with the test equipment. But make sure the emergency brake is set and stand on the brake pedal! Just in case it starts in gear

My 2007 eclipse wont start, it died while driving it yesterday. My mechanic friend tried starter fluid-nothing, put gas in it-nothing, checked the wiring, fuses and spark plugs-nothing...what could it be?...
Did he check the timing belt? Did he check for spark? Did it start with starting fluid? Does it sound like it turning over faster than normal?

I was needed for a medical emergency in Florida and left my 2000 Eclipse sitting idle outside 5 months, from winter to summer. The gas tank was full and I didn't have time to stabalize the fuel before...
If I were you, just take out the old gas and put some fresh fuel in. Next time, keep a few cans of SeaFoam in the car. It stabilizes the fuel for up to 2 years (1 oz for each gallon).

After putting gas in my 02 eclipse it will not start. I put it on a scanner and the code was P0441. I cant find the purge valve. Someone please help.

In most cases, this refers to your gas cap not being tightened down or the cap seal not making enough contact to pressurize the tank and system.

I would venture a guess that the washer solvent might have been cross contaminated in a container before it was added to your vehicle. As an example: Someone may have used a contaminated container and added solvent to it such as a 55 gallon drum (bought in bulk) as a service station, dealership, or other such establishment, and not from a sealed one gallon container.

It may very well be the motor. It is the most common problem, as they fail, even though they might work occasionally. You need to try all switches, and realistically see if the switches pass power through to the window motor.

Ran out of gas car wont start
first make sure theirs enough gas in the car now, about 5 gallons. next open the gas door, then the cap. next put your ear to the open fule filler neck. then have someone put the key in the "on" position so teh dash lights up and all, but dont start. this should trigger the pump to start, if you can hear a buzz then the pumps on and working, if not the pump is dead.if this is the case just be sure by checking the fuses to confirm. only way to get to the pump is drop the tank. also dropping the rear exhaust helps too.

2001 Mitsubishi eclipse wont start
you don't hit the alternator, you hit the starter to help is shake free because it is already going bad. take battery and alternator to parts store and have both tested. check the wires at the starter and make sure they are on SECURELY. very important SOLID CONTACT is occurring. do your lights turn on? check starter relay if the eclipse is equipped with one.
