Check for a bad radio/entertainment fuse. Your owners manual will give fuse location and identification. Most of these systems are now controlled by an entertainment module. You can also try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting to see if it will come back online. If not the system will have to be scanned for codes to help isolate the problem. This may be a dealer only repair

    Depending on your year 2011+ early versions had faulty APIM's Symptoms include dead screen and unable to use the touch screen to control radio. There is a warranty replacement for this. Take it to the dealer and have them verify the dead APIM and then ford will replace it if it is within the extended warranty. A new APIM is about 1K dollars. This sounds like your alternator maybe going bad. When your alternator starts to go bad lights such as headlights, radio lights will go dim wipers will start to move slower but if you cut one of the things off such as the wipers the lights will get brighter for a few minutes then not long the car will shut completely down. Control panel (GPS screen) that controls ac and radio quit
its a 15 watt fuse in the kick panel under the dash. go to the auto repair store and buy a fuse kit so you can can always have spare fuses on hand. it also has a tester in it. my screen went blank as well and I, like you wasnt able to control the heat or air til I changes this fuse. I hope it works for you. best of luck!!!!!!!!
