Codes are: Skim Base station Mismatch, ECM Mismatch with Skim. Also Invalid key, Unidentified Key Communication Error. The keys I have are the keys that came with the truck when I bought it 6 months ago. How do I fix these errors without paying 1000.00 at the Mitsubishi dealer. Basically the computer don't recognize the keys and the computer is saying its an invalid vin #.
Begin with the basics........

Testimonial: "Yes, the check engine light is on. At one point the light was also on for Transmission overheating as well. The mechanic that looked at it first said it had a code low voltage to transmission so he charged up the battery. Then no lights for a week. Yesterday I too it to another full service garage and they ran the scan on it and got the codes listed above. he also drove it and said its in theft mode so its starting off in second gear. After this the check engine light came back one and the red dot-security light."
What ever is causing the 'Check Engine' lamp to illuminate IS IN FACT placing the vehicle in 'Limp Mode' (Vehicle's A/T starting off in second gear)
Having same issue for long time now. Dealership ran diagnostic and ultimately concluded that the PCM/ECU was bad. Intermittent problem, but lately very consistent. Only goes into limp mode when going from park to drive or reverse. Never while driving.

This site is pathetic...why would someone answer my question with a question when I already stated the obvious.
