Your anti theft device is activated, you need to lock and unlock your doors a couple times with the key fob,not the key,and then you need to put the key in the ignition and start it,if you dont have your key fob, call your car dealer to get a new one, they are programmed for each car only, you cannot bypass it.

How to deactivate car alarm on 1997 chrysler Lhs

It depends on how it was installed and who installed it .
In 97 almost no car companys had factory alarm systems .
You could go to the radio guy to get it installed .
Or get a do it your self kit of the shelves.
If you see a red wire hooked to the posivite battery termanil under the clamp disconnect it that will cut the power off to it .
If it was installed at a car electronics store .You will have to look around for it .Find the alarm horn follow the wires back to the electrical control unit look for a red wire larger then the other wires to the alarm . Their is always an inline fuse in the red wire some ware that can the replaced easly .Remove it and the alarm will be deactiveated and shouldn't casue anymore problems

1997 jeep grand cherokee won't start after alarm went off

I just had the same prblem. Reconnect your alarm first of all. You need to use your key bob "remote" to deactivate the alarm before starting. It is a feature "good one" i might add that should someone try to steal it the jeep will not start until u deactivate it w theke bob.

Sometimes the alarm box is under the dash on the drivers side. Did you try using the key to lock and unlock the driver side door? Some vehicles this will deactivate the alarm.

Hi I have a porsche boxster 1997 and my passenger door wont open at all, when i go to unlock the driver's side unlocks and the car beeps twice. Please help

Might be the central locking system. Try using the key in the door (rather than the remote control) to deactivate the security system. Also make sure that the center console is completely closed (this is part of the central locking system).

THE CAR WON`T STAR, IT SHOWS THE THEFT ALARM SYSTEM IS THE PROBLEM, HOW SHOUL IT BE DEACTIVATED?

first try another fob, then another ignition key. If none of these work then you need to find the alarm controle module some where under the dash by the steering colume. once you have located the controle module trace the wires usally a red with block stripe back to where it is tee tapped to the wires of the ignition switch. unplugging the tee tapp should allow you to start the vehicle. but the alarm will be deactivated

CAR ALARM DEACTIVATION

if the car only has a factory system, then you only need to insert the key to unlock the door to turn the alarm off. There should be a red light on the door panel that blinks and that should show you it's off, not sure try turning the key on the door twice. If it's aftermarket, get a replacement unit.
