Question about 2008 Peugeot 308 1.6
My 308 has just had a full service, but the engine fan keeps coming on after short bursts of spped or going up hills, what shall the cause of this be, any help please. shall i take it for a dianostics test at peugeot garage or at a smaller garage? thinking of the cost
The engine fan is activated by coolant temperature, and it is normal for it to turn on when the coolant temperature increases. Be certain that your coolant level is correct, and expect it to engage from time to time, especially in warmer weather.

Testimonial: "i have booked a auto diagnostics to carry out engine tuning to the car peugeot 308 1.6vti, will this help the car? also i think that there is a slight problem with the heating as the hot air from the heater oonly blows from the bottom setting pointing towards your feet/floor and only warm in the middle and the top vents near the windscreen, also the car is sluggish driving in 2nd gear and third?any help with this please??"
It could be air that is trapped in water line. Remove air from heater matrix line (you can find the bleeder valve in engine bay where the pipe goes in passenger compartment). Check that the water is circulating from engine to radiator and thermostat is working properly and make sure that there is sufficient coolant in the water tank.
