If the check engine light is flashing you should probably get it scanned to see which coil(S) need replacing. When the light flashes it means that something is seriously wrong. STOP driving. If you continue to drive it will melt your catalytic converters. I have had customers that get the misfire issues repaired and come back maybe a month or two later with burnt converters. Converters are not cheap either.

Dont drive a car with the light flashing. A flashing check engine light means that something is really wrong and you can damage the engine if you drive it.

If the D4 light is flashing, you have a transmission control failure and you need to get your transmission and transmission control system checked out.

the light is flashing to alert you to the fact that the transmission sensors have detected excessive slipping, u may not feel this but it is the case.

check the transmision codes with obd1 tranny in safe mode. check droping resistor. Vitally

This light is flashing to indicate a fault has occurred in the transmission, have a test run on the control module of the trans to figure out what that might be, it could be a simple fix once you have the trouble code.
