2004 Toyota Tacoma. Left blinker liters stay on while headliites r on and don't blink. They work when u turn off headliites

OK my friend lets do some old time checking at no cost to you. First you have a short or break in the wire I would go to the left taillight and take the bulb out and see if it stops blowing the fuse, it would not be a ground as without a ground you would get a feedback where both turn lights blink at same time and fast. In my many years the socket goes bad and you can get a after market at parts store and replace it not seeing it try this ok Good Luck Mike L.

dash, blink alert dead. sure its bad. the feed is good.
the FSM covers this, some are easy other much harder.

The parking lights should be on a different circuit from turn signals - hazard lights. The bulbs usually have two filaments, one for each circuit.
On most models there is a tail light fuse and relay that handles front and rear parking lights.

It sounds to me that you have a short somewhere. Have you heard about any recalls?

Bad ground wire/grounding
Bad socket
Bad bulb

Does the rear one blink?

You need to replace flasher unit. This regulates the flashing speed. Check under the drivers side dash (it may hang amongst wires or in a fuse box) or under bonnet where all the large fuses are (these will be in a covered box). Sounds like under dash because of noise. Google search flasher units to see what the look like.

check the bulbs or the sockets for damage
or the wrong bulb
you are getting feedback through the wiring
and that lights up the dash

replace the battery in the key fob.

SOMETIMES THEY LIKE TO PUT THEM ON THE FIREWALL ON THE DRIVERS' SIDE UNDER THE HOOD. IF IT IS NOT THERE THEN TRY UNDER THE DRIVER'S DOOR NEXT TO THE CHASSIS RAIL. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. LET ME KNOW PLEASE. GOOD LUCK

hi usurally when that happens that means you have a bad bulb or bad wiring.
