Worked fine the evening before; the next morning--error code. The radio works and I can play music through the tape player using my iPhone/iPod.
Thats what i do with mine ,the phone thing but error E 1 means that a cd is jammed in the unit,happens to me all the time as i only use it for jaguar meetings .Now what you do is to pull out the cartridge and remove all the CDS then re insert it and press the eject button again and it might if your lucky retrive the cd in the player and return it to the cartridge ,.then refit all the others till it happens again

I have seen this a bunch of times always with the same result, take it to a audio repair facility, the sterio has a bad internal circut. No external "quick fix" that i know of

If you are using "home-made" or "burnt" CDs, this can happen. Sometimes, you can remove the radio from the dash, and unplug it. That may reset the CD player, and the discs will eject.
It works for me about 85% of the time. Hope this helps.

you may have to use needle nose pliers to pull them out or remove the radio and open it up and remove them also take a look at the drive belt it may have broke, there are many electrionic places that will repair it if you remove it and take it to them, most of the one i run into broke a belt or 2cds were jamed inside it.
