evap sensor won't go off ? Do you mean the check engine light ? What DTC - diagnostic trouble code ? fuel leveler system done ,your funny ! Fuel gauge sending unit of fuel pump ? With the fuel nozzle shutting off like that, the air in the tank is causing that , which means there is a problem with the Evap vent solenoid or wiring to the vent solenoid . Fuel Filling Troubleshooting Vent Solenoid
the EVAP canister is located under the car on the drivers side above the gas tank. that particular code could mean anything as far as the EVAP system goes. it could be anything to you overfilling your gas tank to your EVAP canister needing to be replaced to the small hose under the hood having a pin-sized hole in it. the most effective way to find the problem is to take it to an ASE certified shop or dealer and have them run a FULL scan of your system, if you havent already. about the only way to find a small leak is to have a mechanic run smoke though the EVAP system.
there is a valve on the evap canister for emissions, it has an electrical problem with it setting the code-just for laughs, check the gas cap, and yu could also try disconnecting the negative battery terminal and letting it sit for 5 minutes-if the code code comes back, and the gas cap looks alright (gasket good) and it is on tight, the solenoid on the evap canister is usually defective.
all you should haft to do is unhook the battery I usually unhook it for about 30 seconds that should erase all the codes the only other way I know of is to erase them with a code reader.
The code is for the evap system .The small leak could be the seal on your gas cap and if not check all lines coming from canister if no signs of leak replace evap canister.
"This indicates a fuel vapor leak in the EVAP control system. It means a very small leak has been detected. In fact, the leak can be from a hole as small as 0.04" in diameter. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intakevacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine."
Hope that helps..
