If it is not making any cranking sound at all, it is probably a battery problem. Could be loose or corroded terminals. It it still has the original battery, it is probable that the batter is bad.(5 years old) If you can jump start it, take it to a battery place. Be CAREFUL to get the jumper cables on correctly. A reverse connection could be disastrous.
Thanks! That was the problem, looks like I'll be needing a new battery lol :)

I had the same problem with my '05 Stratus SXT 2.4 DOHC. I've replaced the cam pos sensor and it seems to be running fine right now. On the Dodge forums a lot of the guys say that you need to replace the crank pos sensor too. I've bought one of those just in case it comes back again. Hope this helps.

It is the battery - you must not have the cables securely placed on the terminals. The same thing happened to me a few months ago.

Check the starter and the starter relay or fuse. A client of mines car was doing the same thing, it ended up being two issues, the starter not working anymore, and a relay that was bad. If I am not mistaken everything should be labeled in the fuse box under the hood and will tell you where the fuse/ relay is for your vehicle

You most likely have a failed anti theft system. Go to this link to read about these systems. I have no permanent fix for you, but you might be able to bypass the anti theft parts at the ignition. This might get you going. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/
