Camshaft valve timing marks for Fiat Siena 1.6 16V, 1995 to 2002 model

there are no timing marks for camshafts you need a fiat tool to lock the cams rear of engine but if you mark the cam sprockets carefully before you dismantle you should be ok if not borrow the fiat tools the crankshaft marks are on the front pulley end about @aprox.10oclock position

The vehicle is backfiring through the exhaust and won't rev up.

Hi,I dont know if this is a timing belt or timing chain,
but if it is the belt drive timing belt then its possible that it has slipped a couple of teeth so that when it fires on a serton cylinder when one of the exurst valves is still open cousing it to back fire through the exurst,
I would first set up the engine timing, make shore that the mark on the crank pully is lined up with the pointer thats on the engine block then make shore that the cams are both lined up with the marks on the head,if ok,then you can adjust the ignition timing,
you will already have it at top dead centre by sorting out the engine timing,so take the distributer cap off the rotor should be pointing at the number 1 cylinder so it should just be ready to fire,if that seems to be lined up ok,its not your timing.
so you will have to do a engine compression test to see if there is eneything wrong with the valves or piston rings(most of the time its the problem with the head)if thats ok,then it must be to do with a fuel problem if you have a good spark from sparkplugs.
all the best, hope this got the brain cells working hard so you can get to the bottom of the problem.

How do i tell the difference of a 2.2 or 2.4 engine?

The eighth digit in the VIN number - a code 4 is a 2.2 and a code T is a 2.4 engine.
The 2.2 is an overhead valve engine, the 2.4 is a double overhead cam engine.

Trying to locate engine number to determine 16 0r 32 cam

Unfortunately, your question is very vague and hard to understand.

16 or 32 cam?
Usually your engine will have twin cams, or single cam.
Overhead cam(s) or not. You could determine if your engine
is a 4 or a 6 cylinder, and then you will generally find out how
many valves the engine has.

If you are in a 4 cylinder car, you probably have 16 valves if you have a twin cam engine.
If you have a single cam, 4 cylinder engine, then you will usually have only 8 valves.

The only way that you could end up with 32 valves, is if you have a dual overhead cam, v-6 engine.
Each head will have two cams, and each cylinder will have 4 valves then.

I hope that this is what you were trying to ask. :)

1997 chevy cavalier 2.4 twin cam engine dogs out when throttling

Possibly bad tpos sensor

Bad idle air control valve

Bad maf sensor

Check the computer codes first before spending any more money on it

Also do a compression check

And check your valve timing and ignition timing just in case.
