SOURCE: I have to replace the power window motor on my BMW X5

Hi Racegas, I am assuming you need to take off one of the rear door panels. The 1/4 glass sunshade needs to be removed to gain access to a hidden screw. If you are looking at the sunshade from inside of the car. Lower the window, and look at the op of the shade assembly on the inside. You will see a square looking hole. Using a small pocket screw driver, or equivalent, insert the screwdriver into the hole and pry upwards. Pull the assembly to you at the same time. The clip that holds the assembly in place is pretty stout. You may want to shine a flashlight inside the hole to get a better idea of how far to pry the retaining clip up. Just in case you need to know, there are 2 screws under the trim strip that is adjacent to the release handle and one toward the bottem of the door near the interior pocket.

I have a BMW 2004 3.0 X5. I have slow feedback when I step on the gas to speed up and my engine is misfiring. I what else would be the problem?

Clean Throttle Body and MAF. If that doesn't work, you need an auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer.

Hey Chuck, run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in a full tank of gas and see if that takes care of the problem.

2004 BMW X5 radio only stays on for 1 min after the car is started and the lights and controls don't work (ie. can't turn it on or off, can't adjust the volume, etc.) and the lighter socket light stays on...

Check to see is the radio connection plug all the way in and also check to make sure the white wire(ground) is clean and tight on the fire wall under dash.

Im driving a bmw x5 4.8is 2004. the headlight washer is not working. i have tested the fuse, its fine, the voltage in the plug is zero evn when i activate the washer..

Hey Freddy, ALWAYS check the ground to the unit. That's why you get now power when activated. Automotive ground is always white wire and hot is black.

HOW MANY MILES NEED TO REPLACED THE TIMING CHAIN ON 2004 BMW X5 3.0 I

It doesn't need to be replaced- EVER. It is a double roller chain. It will be the Last thing to break right after the wheels fall off. Seriously, its good for 300k and more. Stop worrying.

Its also extremely complicated and expensive to replace. I could see replacing if you have to repair the heads anyway, but never as preventive maintenance. This isn't a toyota or lexus that breaks after 60k miles.

Many time, people replacing this item have a high degree of difficulty doing it right. This is especially true for people with a lot of experience on other brands and no experience with BMW Vanos systems. I can't tell you how many people decided to replace the timing chain on their fully operational BMW just to see that it would never run again.
