Service due soon A23 - 2008 Acura Mdx

The oil service light must be reset, refer to the owners manual.

batteries come in different configuration as to where the positive and negative poles are placed on a battery
the difference between a23 and a23 s could be which sides of the battery top the terminals are configured
it will not matter if you are just using it for power for door chimes

the car is telling you that it is DUE for a service SOON.

service engine soon is a warning that you are due a service"soon"the check engine light is a warning that several things could be wrong and a diagnostic is advisable.

Press on the "CHECK" button of display, and you will be informed directly when the next service is due !!!

in your manual inside your glove box it will tell you how to restet the service due soon message, or the mechanic should do it when he/she services your car.
