I conect new radio, but the signal lights don't work, I check fuses, replace flasher, still not working, I need help!!!to fix signal ligths, thanks

flashers and turn signals have separate flasher and separate fuse.

work on one thing at a time, brake lights first, check the brake switch, is it mounted ok ? is power geting to it ? replace if any doubt. check all fuses, replace 4-way flasher, cheap fix . a repair manual has good info, including wire diagrams, for all circuits, etc.,,.. check wir harness @ rear of truck, & along frame for damage, corrosion, etc.,.

Check the relays and then check the wires... If its a relay you will need to replace it and of its a wire problem either fix the wires or get a new wiring harness

check your fuse box for fuse burnt out, but most likely your signal light flasher switch is out, and needs replacing. Check your manual it will tell you where your signal flasher is located, it is a real easy part switch and not very much $ for just a flasher, normally under 20 bucks at auto parts stores. let me know if this helped you. you don`t say but do the lights work either on the front/back on both sides.if not then it may be a fuse that needs replacing or need a bulb replacement.if the lights work but don`t flash then it sounds like a signal flasher problem.the flasher is located in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.if the hazard flashers work then turn them on to find the hazard flasher by the fuse panel then you will know what the signal flasher looks like and change the signal flasher.make sure you change the one for the signals and not the hazard one.if the hazards work then i would say the signal switch is good as the hazards work through the same switch.

the hazard lights use a different flasher(relay)then the signal lights.you don`t say if the signals work on one side or not,you should check the fuses for the signal lights in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.if you put the hazards on and find the flasher then you will know what the signal flasher will look like,it is on the fuse panel and replace they should work.

you need to check to see which bulbs don`t work both front and back lights for the signal on the side it`s not working,you don`t say if any signals work or not if no signals work then you need to check the fuses under the dash on the driver`s side.now if it`s just one side then check the lights as mentioned above.if one isn`t then replace the bulb.if neither bulb is working then it sounds like the signal flasher is not working.turn on the hazard flashers and check the lights front and back.if all bulbs work then leave the hazards on and look under the dash for the flasher that is making the noise,this will show what the signal flasher will look like,then find the signal flasher on the fuse panel under the dash it should be located on the fuse panel.and replace

replace flasher......usually located in fuse block area...listen in this area....select passenger side ...then select driver side...you can hear flasher clicking...you have seperate flashers for each...FLASHERS are small cubes plugged into fuse block....probable bad driverside flasher

On your 98 Dakota.
Is equipaded with a single Flasher.
If you replace all ready.
Check the FUSE # 10, 15 amp..
On the Fuse box. left side of Dash.
and the FUSE D 25, amp. On engine compartment Fuse box.
Check the proper funtion of the HAZARD switch.
Bacause if the Hazard switch is bad the turn signal don't will work. Match the OLD flasher with the New one.

If after of this still not work.
Remove the steering wheel cover, locate the Turn signal switch connector and with a TEST Light check power with the Key ON
12v. to the RED wire and PINK wire..
If you found 12v. check the connection with the switch.
If the connection is good. you will need to replace the turn signal switch.
But if you don't found 12v. You need to look a an open circuit.
And fix it..

I would check the bulbs, first with just parking lights on - making sure all light - then to see if brake lights work.

If brake lights work, check you parking/signal lights, as they may be of the "two filament" variety. If this is the case, and they are not burned out, check to make sure that the FLASHER module works and that the button for the EMER FLASHER works.

If either is not working, neither will your turn signals, as they depend on the flasher module.
