How do i replace a blinker switch on a 85s10 - 1985 Chevrolet S-10

Make sure you are using the correct bulb. It should be 1157. If bulb ok you may have a grounding issue

Check bulbs? check wiring from bulb back any open wires? Bad connections? Corrosion in connections causes lots of bad behavior. Connections need to be cleaned or scraped to bright metal.

replace the hazard switch it works the blinker and hazard flash that's the problem bad hazard switch

Possible faulty hazard light switch. The blinker circuit on many cars runs through the hazard light switch.

most blinkers uses relays, and when they flashes fast one light is out, but you replaced your burnt bulb might be a bad relay.

Looks like the blinker relay needs to be replace! It blinks once and stop, means the relay bi metal is burned and have to be replace.

Sounds like the blinker relay. Is the emergency flasher switch on the dash above the radio ? If it is the blinkers relay is the same as the emergency relay. If the blinkers stop working pound on the emergency lights switch and if they start working then replace the emergency lights relay switch cause the blinkers is on the same relay as the emergency lights. My 2001 Grand Am does the same and I just hit the emergency lights switch and they start working again.

check the gruond in the black wire in the blinker switch if its ok, sometime the after market parts have ashort life time try to replace the flasher switch ( blinker switch)

If the flasher ("blinker can") was bad, It would be rare that it would work intermittantly. We rarely change the fashers, they are pretty reliable. My suggestion to you is to check your turn signal switch. If the signals are not flashing, cycle the switch back to center & left/right; hold it in the "on position".... Do the lights the start to work? if so, replace the turn signal switch.

I replaced the hazard switch relay, still no good, and replaced all the bulbs
