If you have an aftermarket radio, also check the inline fuse or the fuse on the radio itself. To check this you will have to remove the radio from the panel to inspect the wires or the back en of the radio. I hope you find the fuse in the fuse box blown, it will be much less trouble.

What can i do when i do nott have power to radio

Begin by checking the fuse that powers your radio. If you have power in and out of fuse, then check power to the radio. May need to remove from dashboard without disconnecting. If you have power, may have a bad radio. If no power, may want to trace the radio harness back to the fuse box and check wiring, could be damaged.

I have 2006 taurus and no manual or labels on fuses need to know what fuse is for radio

The fuse you want to check is the F1-17 fuse in the battery junction box. This is the radio fuse.
The number F1-17 fuse is the red/yellow power wire at the radio. If the fuse is good pull the radio and check the red/yellow wire for power in, if you have power in , then suspect a bad radio. My next step would be to remove the radio and check the power wire going into the radio (red/yellow) . If you have power there, then the radio is likely bad. Ford has had major problems with the radios.

I have a 2002 ford escort zx2 I replaced the battery 3 days ago and my radio still will not turn on ....and sugestions ??

Locate your fuse boxes or boxes, usually in the interior and or trunk. Locate the ciruit fuse that the radio is on. Check it to see if it is blown. If the fuse is good, you have to get behind the radio and check to see if you have voltage going to it. Test light will work for this. If there is voltage then, your Radio may be bad!

Side mirror and radio not funtioning at all toyota corolla 2001

Probably a blown fuse. Find the fuse box, (make sure car if not running, key out of ignition), open fuse box cover. The cover usually has a description of what fuse does each power task. Find the radio/ACC fuses and removing them one at a time (don't have 2 out at once), hold them up to the light and look for a broken band inside the fuse. If you find one, replace it with a new one of the same size and amperage. It is the cheapest place to start.

Where is the radio fuse located in a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee? My radio quit working and I can not figure out which fuse it is.

check the fuse box pull out or look to see if one is broken i'm not sure what type of fuses you have but if they have a metal wire inside and the mestal wire inside is broken then the fuse is bad and needs to be replaced .take the bad fuse with you to the auto parts store and match it up.some radios have a fuse in the back if you find out that it is not a fuse it could be a relay.also in some cars when you open the fuse box it will tell you what each fuse operats. good luck :)

Radio not working it feels like something got switched off

Check the interior Radio fuse. If the fuse is intact and you know the radio is turned on and not muted by an interior phone system or system the radio is bad.

Blown fuse, 2002 Suzuki Vitara

Hi,

Thanks for using FixYa!

If you are suspecting that the radio, car lighter fuse is busted. You need to check the fuse box under the dashboard. Check the fuse box diagram found on the cover of the fuse box under that dash. Check if you see "Lighter, Radio" Find the fuse and use the fuse puller to pull out the fuse.

You can find the fuse puller inside the fuse box. I hope this helps.

Have a nice day.
