the button pulls up not down to open,take two big screwdrivers and a wooden wedge and pry back top of door and drop wedge in to hold door frame back then use coat hanger with a small loop on the end to lift the button up.in the car rental game i could open a car within 30secs honest

Be careful. There are two flashers. I replaced one once, and it didn't fix it. Found out later I replaced the Hazard flasher. Go to Autozone.com and see the manual for a diagram of where they are. One is hidded to the very right under the panel, the other one in the center.
