Looks like it's the turn signal relay. It should be located on the drivers side under the dash to the left.
Can't see any other way the left light would be steady.
Hope this helps.

Alpha Romeo 156 My Left hand indicator light stays on continually, does not flash. and when I turn the hazard light switch on both indicators continually glow.

Generally speaking, symptoms of a bad or failing turn signal bulb are usually the culprit...in your case, either it's the front left or rear bulb. Varies for different vehicle makes...common signs include:
  1. turn signal light staying on solid
  2. or blinking very fast
  3. or either sides of the bulbs stop blinking altogether.
To test this, make sure you reconnect everything you disconnected.
Turn the left signal light on; go to the front of the vehicle, is the turn signal bulb illuminated? If it lights up, even though it is not blinking obviously the bulb is okay. If it doesn't, replace it- problem solved. You'll do the same procedure for the rear turn signal Is that lit up? If not replace the bulb and the problem is solved.
Another common failure is when the turn signal blinks really fast, same procedure as mentioned above.
If both bulbs for the left side and right side illuminate but don't blink, the problem is in the steering column turn signal switch.
If the left or right side blinkers don't work properly at all...then check the integrated hazard warning/turn signal flasher relay- that may be defective; again, that's usually the case if both sides of the signal light don't work.
If you are blowing any fuses related to the flasher system, you have an electrical overload in the turn signal circuitry.

1992 BMW 525I Turn signals and hazard lights do not work. I tried 15A fuse in the six slot. Right turn lights lit and stayed on solid. The left turn signals did not work at all. What do I do now?

Sounds like it probably is a relay that's died. You will need to look in the relay box, assuming that car has one, and with luck, under the lid it will tell you which relay does what. Replace the turn signal relay(s). If they're not in a separate box, it/they are probably somewhere behind/under the dash. Sorry I can't be more specific :{

One of my turn signals flash but the other stays solid

could just be a faulty relay, if you have not had a problem before i would think it was the relay.

i would be checkinh all connections and take it from there, a little wd40 might just solve it short term.

Left turn signal comes on and flashes but not the right one

If the arrow stays on on the dash, you have a burnt bulb on the right side. If the front right bulb stays on and the right rear is out, the rear bulb is burnt. If the rear is on solid, the front is burnt. If both front and rear is on, either you have a bad connection at the sockets, bad turn signal relay, or a bad multifunction switch - which is usually the turn signal switch in the steering column.

Turn signal not blinking . Stays lit bit no

It could be your flasher relay going out. Should be under the dash.

How to change the turn signal flasher?

Check the the bulbs at the front and rear of the vehicle work. If one is not lit up, replace that one. On some of the earlier model cars the blinkers would stay solid and not flash when one or both bulbs were blown. Modern cars have a rapid flash when one or both are blown
