2007 Kia Spectra 2.0 need to change timming beat or does it have a timming chain?

Hi.

The spectra uses a timing belt. The recommended interval to change is every 60K miles.

Here the spare part: 2007 Kia Spectra Timing Belt.

Regards.

2001 kia spectra belt use to squeak and a/c worked (most of the time ) but now the belt isnt squeaking and the a/c or heater will blow? the a/c would come on sometimes if you hit a bump or reved the engine

sounds like you may need to look at the compressor under the hood and see if the wire on it is plugged in and make sure its not cut or broken. the squeak could be due to a loose belt try tightening it if it is possible

Changed timing belt timing correct car now engine

sounds like the timming belt is one or two teeth out, check it again.. more than two or three teeth out and you will bend valves

Replacing the alternator belt on 2001 kia spectra

Then you don't take anything off. There will be a spring loaded idler that tensions the serpentine belt. Take a socket or long 12 point wrench and attach to the center bolt of the tensioner, then rotate the idler wheel away from the belt, take the belt off. Slowly release the spring tension of the idler.
The 2nd belt should be set up the same way.
