you have a faulty alternator by the sounds of it, try this simple test, : test the voltage of the battery with the vehicle off with a simple multimeter, it should read just over 12v then test it with the car running, it should read around 14-14.5 volts if it still only reads 12v then your alternator needs replacing.
The fuse panel is located under the left side of the dashboard by the e-brake pedal. You have to pull a lever and swing it down, then take the cover off. Brake lights are usually fuse #1 and dashboard lghts #13. The proper numbers should be in your owners manual.

did you weigh the tank? Sometimes if it is cooler out the freon will go in very slowly. Also.. Is the compressor running. the comp sucks the freon out of the can tank etc. You can warm up the freon a little warm water works it goes in faster
