I have a1993 nissan maxima that i use daily to get around it runs great,i'm very happy with it ,but i have the red light on dashboard when i start it up when its cold out and it goes out after10 mins of driving it,i had my battery checked and its good and i had a alternator installed about2 months ago and my car starts up everytime, what can be my red light on dashboard keeps lighting up?

Can't really guess with these car the computer that puts on this light is very sensitive and is very accurate. Here is my suggestion take your vehicle to an AUTO-Zone they will check why the engine light is on for FREE. make sure you get the code or codes and their meaning and get back to me if you need more help. sounds like solenoid on starter is worn, replace starter.

Check all grounds running from all electrical, If there is not a good contact this problem will occur, when you locate the ground surface take sandpaper or even a knife and scrape or sand the connector and the ground surface then reconnect it, It should return to normal if not then it could be a solenoid possibly but not sure

you have a bad ground wire connection find where your ground wires go into the frame and clean the connections on them the same thing happened to my 93 buik regal and i had it checked and thats all it was.
