SOURCE: One front wiper not working on Outlander 2003

if you open the hood look towards the base of the windshield, you should see the linkages for the wiper arms. make sure the linkages are all in-tact and nothing fell off. if the linkages are all good, see if you can move the passenger side wiper with your hand, if it moves freely or with little resistance check the nut/bolt that hols it on at the end of the wiper arm. see if the nut/bolt is loose. tighten if needed. also you can remove the nut/bolt and check the splines on the wiper arm where it presses onto the stud and see if they are wiped out.

SOURCE: I have a 2000 Ford Focus zx3 dohc, its making chirping/squeaky noises (kind of like stretching a rubber band) its coming from the front driver side tire. Do you know what it is or what it could be?

Brakes. The is a squealer on brakes that let you know it is time from a brake change. At first the chirp, then thy will squeal as the brakes get worn.

SOURCE: Power steering is feeling loose and front drivers side tyre making a squeaky sound.

This could be a ball joint getting worn and loose. Since it is safety critical, have it looked at by a front suspension shop. Ask for the old parts back or a demo of what is wrong, if they do work on it.

The drivers side windshield wiper arm stopped working although the passenger side wiper is still working. What would be the easiest way to fix it? Should I even bother checking the fuse before the...

65% sure it could the linkage and not a fuse promblem since the other passenger wiper is still working which would have to say the wiper motor is still working, 40 % could be that the linkage is intact and you have a worn out driver side wiper arm bearing..., what you want to check out before the linkage is the gear bearing that holds the wiper arms. You take the rubber thing that cover the bolt on the wiper arm and see if the bolt is loose and if not, unscrew the bolt and see if the tooth gears on the bolt and the wiper arm is worn/dull, if it is.... that can be the promblem.

Hi how do i get to the wiper motor

I am assuming that you mean the front wiper motor. It iis located under the bulkhead where the wipers pass through the body Lift the bonnet and to access the wiper motor do the following.
There is a rubber strip that crosses the bulkhead that seals the wiper grill frame to the body.Gently lift the seal and you will see 3 number fixing screws. One located at either end side and one in the centre.Remove these with a screw driver. There is then a set of plastic rivets that can be pushed up by hand but be careful the heads have to be retained inside the rubber strip.
Once thise is done you can seperate the grill cover from the body and expose the wiper motor.

I done this last week to replace my wiper motor as it had failed due to ice ceasing it up. I was surprized that it did not blow the fuse.Good luck

How do you replace the windshield wipers on a Honda Elemen, I know this is pretty basic...

You should be able to purchase from the dealer just the rubber inserts, not the complete wiper. Look on the end of the wiper insert and it should be "locked" in by a tab into the rubber. Pull on this end of the insert and it should slide out of the wiper frame. In either side of the old rubber insert should be a thin steel reinforcing insert, remove these and reinstall them into the new rubber inserts. Now guide the new rubber inserts into the wiper and be sure to make sure that tab locks into the rubber insert.

  1. REMOVE RR WIPER BLADE
    1. Raise the rear wiper blade to the position as shown in the illustration where the meshing of the claw disengages with a clicking sound. NOTE: Be careful not to break the claw.
    2. Pull straight the rear wiper blade to vehicle's left from the wiper arm. NOTE: Do not fold the rear wiper arm with the rear wiper blade removed from it.1722d05.gif

  1. REMOVE REAR WIPER RUBBER
    1. Place the rear wiper with the rear end of the rubber protruded from the blade stopper as shown in the illustration. NOTE: Do not pull out the wiper rubber forcibly, as the backing plates will become deformed or the blade claws will become damaged. HINT: The rubber can be easily pulled out by pushing the middle area of the blade.

Easy done . Remove wiper arms with the hood closed. Open the hood. there a number of press clips that look like philips screws. on the front of the wiper plastics, remove them, remove the rubber trim. lift off the top plastics revealing the bottom fixing. there are 4 8mm bolts that you need to remove and remove the air and water vent screws. waggle the scection loose, remove the washer pipes from passenger side and off the jets, unclip the harness of the wiper motor and you can then remove from the car
