You're not saying where you're seeing that symbol, but if it's on a round cap on your engine cover it's telling you that that is where you add oil to your engine. If you're seeing the same "Alladin" lamp symbol on your dash display and the engine is running when you see it, it means that your engine is seriously low on oil or the pump/engine is seriously worn out. If you just see the symbol light up briefly on your dash as you're starting the engine, it's just telling you that the low oil pressure warning system is functioning OK.

Look in your manual instrument cluster section. You did not specify the year, make or model to determine what it means. If you do not have the manual, google search year, make, model and manual.
You might want to check your fluid levels right now, as red light on dash is not good.
