RPM needle goes into red area then the CEL comes on then the engine shuts off while driving 70 mph. i wait a min of 30 min and it will restart but about 10 min later it cuts off again. This started after i had a complete tune up, oil change, transmisson drained and new fluid replaced. I have taken it to 4 garages and they don't know what is wrong. please help. thanks

if the wheel alignment is faulty ( castor wobble ) at 70 mph there is no way that you can describe it as a vibration as it virtually rip the steering wheel out of your hands. If it is a torque converter problem then at around 3850-4025 rpm stationary there will be a vibration of the vehicle and engine The sort of vibration that you are experiencing at 70 mph will come from a drive line problem. If rear wheel drive then it could be faulty "U" joints, worn slip joint or failed rear engine mount
If front wheel drive it may be cv joints or bent drive shafts, wheel bearings or brake callipers not moving freely on the mounting bolts.
so ever see the CEL lamp,, it glows telsl you , hey fella. pull me DTC codes? for sure the codes will cause limphome.
so CEL first.
the CHECK ENGINE LAMP. glows key on, then out running.
if not out running that means , do the flash code magic.
the jumper, or as i call it the diagnostic jumper check.
we start there,
and we can find all problems. step by step , test by test.
Sounds like the clutch, if a standard trans, needs to the be replaced. If it's an automatic, you need to take it in for diagnosis. Your trans. might be going bad, slipping, may just be low on fluid, if it is use some Lucas trans nonslpi and the proper tranny fluid to fill it to the proper level. Add the fluids and test drive bfore going to the shop, unless the tranny is fuul allready.
Most Suzukis A/C systems will cut out when the engine tempurature is too high (to reduce the load on the engine). Also, in this condition, when the A/C compressor cuts out, the A/C thermo fan (electric - in front of the condensor) may come on ( to try and cool the engine). Combined with the fact that your temp gage says the engine is hot, I would be checking your cooling system very closely. It could be as simple as leaves blocking the air flow through the radiator (between the condensor and radiator), or as serious as the internal cores of the radiator being blocked (different sorts of coolant being used can sometimes produce solid matter that can do this).
