there are four of them. Two up front, under the hood, you can look down by the radiator and see them. One before the catalytic converter one after. The other two are under the engine on the back side of it. You'll have to raise the car to access them. Same as front, one before and one after.

2001 Ford Taurus running hot

First thing to check when the engine is cold is that if there is enough antifreeze in the radiator and after you run the engine for about 5/10 minuter check both the rad hoses to see if they are both at the same temperature, if the return hose which is the bottom one is cold then replace the thermostat. If both hoses are hot or same temp then make sure the radiator fan comes on?

The lower radiator hose is usually connected to the water pump. It's purpose is to draw coolant from the bottom of the radiator and circulate it through the engine and heater. a word of caution, even if you drain the radiator when you loosen the hose there will be a sizeable amount of coolant flowing from that point. Keep a pan handy!!!

Where is the radiator cap on a 1999

Radiator caps are disappearing form cars. Filling of the coolant is done through the expansion bottle. This should be easily accessible and visible as it has several pipes leading both to the engine block and the radiator. It will have a filler cap on it as well. As with radiators, do not open it when the engine is hot. Only check coolant level on a cold engine.

I was told it didn't have one but my husband did find it. You have to remove the mud guard located under the radiator and it will be on the drivers side of the radiator.
