SOURCE: 2005 Yukon XL Denali: Heater

Does it work on any speeds? If it still works on high then the blower resistor is bad. On the passenger side under the glovebox is the blower motor and resistor. If possible try wiggling the pigtail plugs that attach to these two components. It is not uncommon to have problems with these pigtails. Also try tapping the bottom of the blower motor to see if it will start working again. If it does The connections are poor and need repaired. If the blower will not work at all check for power at the blower motor pigtail with a test light or dvm. Will be glad to assist further if more assistance is needed.

SOURCE: The Heater fan in my 2003 GMC Yukon XL will not turn off

I don't know if you already fixed it, but I had the same problem on my 03 yukon, TysonRicky is right. In my case it was the blower control module. You can find it right under the glovebox. It cost me close to $100 for a new one, but very easy to replace. Can't even imagine how much it would've cost me if I had a mechanic do it.

SOURCE: 02 GMC Denali front heated seats won't work

test to see if you have any power going through all the connectors for the seat heater, there may be a spot where there is a connector that has gone bad, or potentially it could be the whole element that is bad

05 YUKON REAR HEAT NOT WORKING

Rear heat not working ? The blower motor isn't working ? No air coming from the rear vent's ? Is it just a yukon or XL or denali ? What size engine ? 4.8 , 5.3 or 6.0 l Manual or automatic climate control ? Does the blower motor work on any speed ? The front an rear heater system are seperate , have there own electrical circuits . Could have a couple of different systems ,could have a control processor or relay's an a resistor block . Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's using a wiring diagram and a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? Plus to get at the rear heater-A/C unit you would need to take the right rear trim panel off .

The front heater temp control isnt working. full cold there isnt any heat but when i turn the temp control just one notch it puts out full heat. there is no control its either on or off

Hi,
That sounds like your resistor block/controller is already shorted to hi fan speed.
Replace the resistor controller, located behind the glove box compartment, on the heater & A/C blower box.
You can't miss it, it has 3 wirings and a connector.

Hope that helps!

My 2000 yukon xl air conditioner blows hot air in the rear and in the front at a idle

First, I would check that the a/c compressor is on at idle.
Then, I would check that the fan goes on.
After, that I would check that the plumbing is getting cold on the low side. If it is not, then I would look for causes for that, including but not limited to the r134a refrigerant pressure being too low.

It should read 25 psi to 45 psi on the low side when the a/c compressor is turning, which is normal.

If it reads 75 psi to 100 psi or higher and the a/c compressor is not turning, then there is a problem.

The a/c compressor could be wearing out (its pistons that is) and causing the pressure to not be high enough at idle speed.
