Suzuki Swift 1.3GL.5DR MT Car easily stalls at slow speeds or when stopping and cannot them be restarted for up to five minutes. There is no response at all from turning the key, as if the battery were dead
That is because it is dead?
that key dead thing is called NO CRANK, not no start.
no car starts unless cranked, or push started or gravity started,
so its a NO Crank issue,
and the stalls, well if the battery drops below 10v the EFI system
stop working just like your lap top does, or CEL phone
and for same reasons.
most folks do a jumper cable crank next. like the AAA tow truck man does first, and for good reasons.
this proves what is wrong,
1: battery was dead (car cranks now)
2: starter dead. or key line dead, if not. cranking now.
my guess is its #1
if battery was dead, then it is

could be a sticking idle air control valve... a little cylinder on the side of your throttle body.. it helps control your idling air fuel ratio.. this goes bad could cause your problems... also easy for you to replace... normally 2 small bolts and a harness.. usually run about 35-85 dollars.. check price and if it's about 35 or so.. i'd go ahead and change it anyways.. 9 years it's probly due.. :D

You have one of two very common problems.
Number one may be a stuck open EGR valve
Number two would be a failing Idle Air Control valve (IAC).
Try this: Open the hood & locate the EGR valve, close to the firewall, behind the intake. Find & take with you a small hammer. The next time that it happens, open the hood & tap on the EGR valve. If it is sticking "open" the tapping may dislodge the carbon particles that are keeping it open. When the EGR valve is open, exhaust is getting into the intake at idle, and this will def stall out the car.
There is no repair to the IAC valve, it would need to be replaced if it is bad.
One of these two scenarios will cure your problem, I see it every day.

alternator gone bad, 100%. as the voltage starts dropping, all the lights on the dash will go crazy because the electronics cannot perform their self diagnostics, as they do not have sufficient voltage.
