1994. Jaguar xj 6 is back firing what should I do

i have one but its in book form and take too long to scan it all .Try a haynes manual their not very good i admit but it might do what you want it to .

The XJ 40 DOES NOT have a compliance plate as it is the first year they were owned by a American company Ford. The XJ 40 better known as the XJ 6 was fords experimenl change over. This went on from 1988 to 1994 and with every year you will find different things they changed that were problems with the preceding year . like the 88 & 89 had digital dash boards that failed a lot to hard wiring breaking so on 90 they changed that as well as a engine upgrade

plug gap is .038 to .040 inch

you will have to remove the shelf verry carefully,

If your car has a distributor cap then condensation got in it and must be dried off with a paper towel. you must loosen the cap, usually has 2 screws or clips.

sounds like the fuel pump is faulty its in the tank

it in related to your vehile emission

some XJ 6 and 8 have electrical problems,maybe your switch has problem.
