Can change the main brain box while still retaining its valeo security box?

Can only the brain box be changed while still retaining its valeo security key box?

Can weak brainbox cause black smoke

Yes, a weak brain box can cause an engine smoke, I just had that experience. Aftrer changing the brain box the smoke stopped.

My nissan sentra 2005 special edition does not rev. when i change the brain box it revs alright. i opened the brain brain box trying to fix it then i realised water has entered, i cleaned it but still does...

Sorry to say but you need another ECM due to water damage. Seal the next one up with sylicone to keep the water out and don't open it!!! There's nothing that YOU can fix inside of it,and that will just VOID the WARRANTY!

How to replace main heater fan

Blower Motor REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Front Fig. 1: Front heater blower motor assembly 89696g02.gif
Remove the glove box to access the front blower motor, which is on the firewall 89696p02.jpg
The blower motor is retained by four bolts (arrows) 89696p03.jpg
The blower motor vent tube helps to cool the blower motor for efficient operation 89696p04.jpg
Push up on the clip to remove the blower motor connector 89696p05.jpg
A ratchet with extensions makes removal of the retaining screws easier 89696p06.jpg
Lift the blower motor over the control cable . . . 89696p07.jpg
. . . and remove it from the vehicle 89696p08.jpg
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Open the glove box door. Gently squeeze the retainers at the rear of the box inward and allow the box to swing downward. NOTE: If additional access is required, unfasten the glove box hinge retainers and remove the assembly.
  3. Label and disconnect the electrical harness from the blower motor.
  4. Remove the blower motor housing tube and/or blower motor cover.
  5. Remove the blower motor retaining screws.
  6. Remove the blower motor from the A/C evaporator. To install:
  7. Install the blower motor in the A/C evaporator and tighten the retaining screws securely.
  8. Install the blower motor housing tube and/or blower motor cover.
  9. Connect the electrical harness to the blower motor.
  10. Reinstall the glove box and close its door.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove both rear passenger seats.
  3. Remove the three push pin retainers from the lower edge of the auxiliary heater and air conditioning service cover.
  4. Lift the service cover outward and upward to remove.
  5. Label and disconnect the electrical harness.
  6. Remove the blower motor housing tube.
  7. Loosen the three retaining screws and remove the blower motor. To install:
  8. Install the blower motor and tighten retaining screws securely.
  9. Install the blower motor housing tube.
  10. Connect the electrical harness.
  11. Position the service cover and install the three push pin retainers from the lower edge of the cover.
  12. Install both rear passenger seats.
  13. Connect the negative battery cable.

I had my a/c converted over to the new style and it still wont come on,i was told that it probably was the brain box for it under the dash,i looked for it but there are three boxes under the dash on the...

converting from r-12 to R134A should not cause you any problems, did they replace the capilarry tube? the dryer reciver and the oil changed if it worked before you switched over there would not be a reason to change out the A/C brain.

Need to turn the valet switch off On 1999 Nissan Maxima

Look for alarm Brain box and look for wires coming out black and red going to valet switch. to turn valet on turn ignition in ON position and press-switch or flip depending on the type of switch. If it a basic alarm just disconnect the main wiring harness to alarm box- unplug and the car should start. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

Changing the air filter on an HHR

    To change the air Filter on an HHR:


    It will take some time, so be patient.

    1. Disconnect the air intake hose to the filter box. It is at the left rear of the box as you look at it from the front of the car.

    2. Disconnect the MAP sensor wiring.

    3. Disconnect the coupling to the engine intake.

    4. The filter box is help in place by two ball and socket type retainers located on the back corners. Grasp the box and lift up firmly to lift it free,

    5. Turn the assembly upside down. There are seven torx screws securing the cover of the filter. Remove them and replace the filter.

    6. Reverse the process to re-install the filter box.
